DHI Environmental has played a key role in delivering a new environmental waste transfer station, forming part of a growing national network designed to move waste away from landfill and towards recovery, reuse, and responsible treatment.
Our involvement goes beyond standard support. We delivered practical, high-impact engineering solutions that bring the site to life, manufacturing a bespoke dewatering skip, completing critical civil works, and modifying existing infrastructure to meet the demands of a modern, efficient waste operation.
The result? A fully operational facility already proving its value.
A major milestone has been achieved with the first batch of material successfully processed and exported into our soil treatment network. This demonstrates that the system works not just in theory, but in real-world conditions. This is a key step as the model rolls out across additional locations nationwide.

Mechanical Dewatering & Separation
Using advanced dewatering and separation techniques, we break waste down into its core components—solids, recoverable oils, and water. This significantly reduces waste volume while unlocking opportunities for reuse.
Recovery & Diversion
Our focus is always on maximising recovery and minimising landfill.
